Micro-rental General Terms

RENTER'S AND DRIVER'S AGE:
A minimum of 21 years of age for all categories except for the I, R, R1 categories for which a minimum of 25 years is required . Drivers who have not completed 25 years regardless of car type are subject to an additional charge of 15 euros a day up to the first 15 days.

DRIVER’S LICENSE:
The driver’s license of the renter must be issued at least a year prior to the rental date.

PAYMENT METHODS:
A debit/credit card is always required to rent a car. For the I, R and R1 categories in particular two debit/credit cards are required even if the renter pays cash.

INSURANCE:
Renter’s of a Drive S.A car are insured for:
Α) death and physical damage to third parties up to the amount of 500.000 euros
Β) material damage to third parties up to the amount of 100.000 euros.
C) The renter is responsible for theft or any damage caused on the rented car up to the car’s full worth. The renter pays for the damage on a Drive S.A car, regardless of liability and the sum is returned to the renter upon compensation from the insurance company.
D) Mixed insurance (CDW): mixed insurance limits the renter’s liability for damage on the rented car to 300 euros, for the A, B, C categories with a respective added fee of 12 euros a day, to 450 for the D, D1, E, L, L1 categories with a respective added fee of 16 euros a day, and to 1500 euros for the G1, I, F, R, R1 categories with a respective added fee of 25 euros a day.
Ε) further insurance coverage ( super CDW ).
The above discounted amounts of paragraph (d), can be limited to 150 euros, 200 euros, 400 euros respectively should the renter purchases extra insurance (super CDW) with a financial extra burden of 6 euros,8 euros, 10 euros a day for the respective categories.
F) Insurance against theft (ΤΡ). Insurance against theft covers the renter for total or partial loss of the car, limiting his/her liability to the amounts mentioned in paragraph (d) with a respective added fee of 5 euros for the A, B, C categories, 0f 7 euros for the D, D1, E, L, L1, G categories and of 12 euros for the G1, I, F, R, R1 categories.
G) Personal Accident Insurance (PAI).
The personal accident insurance covers the driver and any passenger up to the amount of 15.000,00 euros for death, total or partial disability. The extra fee is 4 euros a day.
Η)further personal accident insurance ( Super PAI).
The amounts in paragraph (f) can increase to 50.000 euros and 2.000 euros respectively with a daily extra charge of 4 euros.
I) Super Cover:
The customer is offered the option of purchasing the super cover package, which will offer him/her the Super CDW, PAI and super PAI insurance in a significantly reduced price than that of purchasing each insurance package separately.
J) No insurance covers:

  • The car onboard ship
  • Any mishappening resulting from alcohol or drug abuse
  • Damage caused to the vehicle because of off-road driving
  • Theft or damage of any personal belongings while in the Drive s.a. car
  • For damages to the undercarriage of the vehicle, tires, external mirrors and antennas.
  • For accidents that take place when a driver, not declared in the Rental Agreement drives the Drive s.a. car. Even if the renter is fully covered by his credit or charge card, he will still have to pay Drive s.a. all costs incurred in repairs or replacement. Further claims can then be made by the renter himself to cover any of those costs by his credit club.

FUEL:

  • The car is delivered with a full tank.
  • If the renter returns the car with a full tank there will be no extra charge for fuel.
  • If the renter returns the car with less fuel, he will be charged 6 € (flat fee), plus the cost of the missing fuel.
  • The renter may pay for a tank of fuel up front at a price competitive to the local petrol station and he may return the car empty tank. However, fuel left in the tank is not reimbursable.

DELIVERY COLLECTION:

  • Delivery of the car not at the Drive s.a. office but within city limits 10 €.
  • Delivery outside city limits for car groups A,B and C 0,45 Euros/klm and 0,6€ /klm for the other car groups. (Minimum charge 10€).
  • If the renter wants to return the car to a station other than the delivery station, he will be charged as per above paragraph (b).
  • Airport surcharge: 9% for all airports except the Athens International Airport where the surcharge is 13%, based on time and mileage (before insurances).
  • Deliveries not within Drive s.a. office hours are charged at 18,5 € (21:00-08:00).

CROSS –BORDER AUTHORISATION:
Authorisation is required for crossing into any territory outside of Greece or for moving the car by ship.

Traffic violations:
The renter assumes full responsibility for traffic violations and pays the respective fines.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER:
Additional driver will be charged at 2,5€ per day. Maximum charge is 15 days.

BABY SEATS:
Baby seats are available upon request, charged at 3,5€ per day. Maximum charge 10 days.

SNOW CHAINS:
Snow chains are available upon request, charged at 3€ per day. Maximum charge 10 days.

CHANGE OF DELIVERY LOCATION:
The return of the car to a location different to the one agreed on collection of the vehicle, will incur charge of 30€, plus the charge mentioned in paragraph 6(b).

INCIDENT ADMINISTRATION FEE:
In case of an accident, there is a non refundable fee of 30€ to cover administration expenses, irrespectively of driver’s liability.

TAXES:
All above-mentioned charges are subjected to VAT

IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT, ACCORDING TO THE GREEK ARTICLE K70 OF THE GREEK LAW, THE CUSTOMER IS OBLIGED TO COMPLETE AN ACCIDENT REPORT FORM, REGARDLESS HIS RESPONSIBILITY OR NOT
